Fiery flavour with a mellow and smooth aftertaste. Hot when eaten raw and wonderfully rich, complex garlic flavour when cooked. High yielding when in rich soils with adequate moisture. Tolerates wet soils fairly well. Tight wrappers, good storage. Wrappers range from slight pinkish and purple tones to strong purple stripes depending on growing conditions.
