Field Peas

A great cover crop for spring or fall sowing. Peas are legumes and will add nitrogen to your soil. Sow them on their own or combine with oats.

We use field peas, often combined with oats whenever we remove a late summer/early fall crop from our fields or gardens. They will winter kill with the frost and decompose over the winter.

225 grams will cover approximately 175 square feet. 

Scatter seed over prepared bed and cover lightly with soil. Water well to firm soil and keep moist until germination is complete.
