Rossa di Milano

Allium cepa. 110 days. Rare Italian heirloom is exceptionally beautiful especially when braided into ropes and hung in the kitchen for winter use. Large (10-15 cm) barrel shaped onions are a bright rosy red colour and have a sweet, pungent taste and firm texture. Flat on top tapering to a narrow rounded bottom. Great storage onion. Approx 350 seeds/pkt.

Siskiyou Sweet Walla Walla

SOLD OUT Allium cepa. 110 days. Very sweet, mild onions that can reach 15 cm in diameter. Siskiyou is a reselection of the famous Walla Walla sweet onion. It was selected for increased disease resistance and uniformity. Upright plants have light brown skins and necks that dry down nicely. Not a storage onion. We use surpluses to make onion jam which is heaven with aged cheddar. Approx. 250 seeds/pkt.

Allium fistulosum. 70 days Vigorous, uniform, bunching onion with mild flavour. White stalks have little to no bulbing. The dark green foliage is strong, upright and makes beautiful bunches for market. Approx. 500 seeds /pkt.

Walla Walla Sweet Onion

Allium cepa. 110 days spring sown, 150 days winter sown. Very sweet, mild onions that can reach 15 cm in diameter. We spring sow these beauties but where the climate allows or in protective tunnels they can be fall sown and wintered over for extra large onions the following year. Upright plants have light brown skins and necks that dry down nicely. Not a storage onion. We use surpluses to make onion jam which is heaven with aged cheddar.
