The vigorous plants reaches 1.5 m. and the lack of spines makes for easy picking. The nutritious pods reach 20 cm. but pick them at about 8cm. when they are very tender and tasty. Okra is packed with fibre and many nutrients, including vitamin B6 and folic acid. Pick often to encourage heavier yields. Likes heat so give it a warm spot.
