Purple Peacock Broccoli

Purple Peacock

90 days. Another fantastic creation from Frank Morton who crossed 'Green Goliath' broccoli and two kales to get what he calls "eat everything brockali". Eat the sweet purple stems, green-beaded purple florets, salad-quality young leaves or cooked mature leaves. Produces a crop of loose broccoli heads followed by numerous side shoots — just the opposite of the large single headed green broccoli we are used to. Huge plants are highly ornamental in the kitchen garden. It is a favorite at our farm. Highly recommended.

Green sprouting calabrese brocolli

Green Sprouting Calabrese

48 days. This is a great heirloom broccoli that is well adapted to the home garden as it has a long harvest season. First harvest the small 8-10 cm. main head and then the many side shoots as they develop throughout the season. The taste is superb—kind of sweet. This is what broccoli is supposed to taste like.

Waltham 29 brocolli

Waltham 29

90 days. This cold-hardy broccoli is especially good for fall harvests. It was developed to handle the increasing cold temperatures of fall. Compact plants reach 50 cm in height and produce 15 cm blue-green central heads surrounded by numerous small side shoots for an extended harvest.
