60 days. This Italian heirloom has dark green, purple-veined leaves, lavender flowers and beautiful deep purple beans. It is so pretty you may want to grow it even if you don’t eat a single bean. The slender, stringless 20 cm. beans have a rich beany flavor and an excellent texture. They are produced in profusion from about 60 days and continue until frost.

92 days. One of the oldest varieties we offer, thought to be Native American in origin and listed on Slow Food's
Ark of Taste. This rare heirloom was rediscovered by bean collector John Withee who got it from Mr. Taylor of Steep Falls ME after an 11 year search. The plump, round, deep red beans have a rich full-bodied flavour and bear a striking resemblance to cranberries. Delicious at the shelly bean or dry bean stage. Grows to 2 m.
